VISA provides access via the Internet to a network of organisations around South Africa committed to a wide variety of voluntary work initiatives. Its purpose is to facilitate communication between individuals and/or groups wishing to volunteer and local community development projects.

	The Barefoot University Foundation - Western Cape - SA Established for the purpose of providing basic life skills and leadership training to school leavers within rural community villages, small informal campuses are to be established by utilising existing community centre's on a daily basis to provide creative activities for the young, the old and all in between. Volunteer in a wide range of areas from computers to gardening.

The HOPE project in Bindura in Mashoanaland Central province in Zimbabwe is training people in the province in: taking care of people infected with the HIV virus, boosting the human immune using herbs, counseling, income generating actives, and taking care of orphans and vulnerable children
