Volunteer In South Africa - VISA - Organisation Listing

The Way VISA Works in SOUTH AFRICA

Over the next two years we will be building a database of Volunteering Organisation's
that are based in South Africa.

What we require from them:

A full description of what they do in the volunteering field
A report from a volunteer who has been with them for three months or longer
(This will be to establish that they are who they say they are.)
An agreement that they will be taken off the VISA website if they don't comply
with the standards and expectations that they have agreed to.
Money Wise:
The cost to be listed on VISA is between R180.00 and R340.00
(This is a annual fee that enables us to maintain VISA.)
Free listing if a full NGO/NP status is proven
A 2.8% commission is asked from them by VISA
Advertising amounts listed openly and anyone can use this service

What we require from you:

Accurate and relevant information when making an inquiry
The contact details of a friend or family member
(The information is not shared and is entirely for your own safety.)
For you to make contact with us when you arrive in SA and a day or two before you leave.

The last thing we require is that you report if an Organisation does not have our VISA Code visible to volunteers, this will appear in bold letters on our poster as CODE: VISAZA-number

The code appears eg.VISAZA 082851 and is used by you to make comments or give us feedback
This code only applies to sites with a TRUSTED Rating witch appearing as follows
